------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 3 09:14:35 +0000 2008 ------- Using Calc on Win XP Pro, the functions FIND and SEARCH are supposed to return the position of a piece of text within another piece of text. BUG: If the text being searched for does *not* exist within the text being searched, the functions both return "#VALUE!". For example, if cell A1 has "abcd", then the function FIND("d";A1) returns 4 but the function FIND("x";A1) returns "#VALUE!". The same is true of SEARCH. This is not appropriate; if the text being searched for does not exist the return value should be zero so that it can be used in other expressions. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
