------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jan 18 13:46:01 +0000 2008 ------- at Frank Well, I think it will be a good idea to re-think this feature changing a cell-content from standard to text and viceversa does not work as expected -- set a formula in a cell (like (sum)) -- set its format to text: still funktioning as formula -- try to copy is as text: will be treated as formula -- preformat a cell as Text -- copy a formula to that cell: it overrules the text-setting and will be standard (wrong) -- preformat a cell as text -- insert the same "sum"-funktion from the symbol-bar: it will insertet and it will be formated as text (right) -- trying to convert that cell to formula is not possible: F2 displays it as formula (re-f2 works) - but it does not functioning -- setting a ' at the beginning (hard-format text) the ' is not diplayed -- delete the invisible ' makes it work as formula again note: hard-formating like ctrl-shift-space or from the context-menu is nothing one does accidently. The feature to multiple-copy formulas whithout changing content is essential. The feature works fine with a ' at the beginning, and as said before: may be the behavior is acceptable, but it will need explanation at actual it is inconsistent, it must be decided how settle this, so I leave it up to you or the reporter to reopen that issue.
