I normally use Polish localized version of Openoffice.org, so I just guessed how some strings are in English. Where I wrote 'no highlighting' there should be 'no fill'. I just downloaded 2.4m2, and the bug is still there. Again, here are the steps to reproduce - this time I'll try to be more specific. 1. Write two words in Writer, select the first of them, and highlight it with any color you like by clicking the arrow next to the toolbar icon showing 'ab' and a pen, and selecting the color. 2. Select the second word and click the 'ab' icon (not the arrow). The word gets highlighted. 3. Now select the first word again, and remove the highlighting by clicking the arrow next to 'ab' icon and selecting 'no fill'. The highlight is removed. 4. Then select the second word which is still highlighted, and click the 'ab' icon (not the arrow). Highlight is not removed, while it should be removed. The only way to remove the highlight is to use the arrow and select 'no fill'.
