------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 24 12:21:20 +0000 2008 ------- Impress exhibits extreme slowness in some circumstances when editing quite simple presentations, even on a high performance machine with 2Gb of RAM. For example, try this: 1. download http://www.aaa.net.au/campbell/BeautifulPhotos.odp 2. open it in Impress and you can see that each slide has a picture with a text box over the top - the text isn't part of the photos 3. go down to slide 6 4. starting with slide 6, try clicking three times on the text and then highlighting all the text with CTRL-A, then pressing delete 5. for some of the slides, the performance is really bad...I've had it sitting there burning 100% CPU for about 30 seconds after clicking the text before it shows that you can edit it Actual Result: I find that for some of the screens at least, the performance is rather dreadful, and you end up having to wait for quite a long time. I also find that having completely chopped the text out as described, if I save the file, close it, and then reload it from the saved file, the text appears back again even though I had deleted it. I will open that in another case. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
