An experimental patch for this issue has been created.
Could you evaluate it?

I was wondering if this patch would bring users a good user experience with
Writer.

User Scenario:
A junior high school student got an assignment to submit a report in a certain
format of grid layout in the size of 20 characters per line and 20 lines per
page.
With current OpenOffice.org Writer, the student might find some difficulties
to
create such a format under the dialog of Format - Page - Grid Layout.

What the patch attempts to solve:
The patch allows users to easily specify a format of a grid layout by simply
filling the number of characters and lines. The function that comes with the
patch will automatically calculate appropriate values of both base text and
ruby text sizes. It is quite easier than before.

Specifications:
There are four values that users can specify, which are related each other
under a certain constraint. The two values - the number of lines per page and
the number of characters per line - should be treated as a user's command.
The machine should not change the given values as possible as it can.
The patch is designed to work in that way. Although the constraints might
need to change some of the values, that will be done as a last resort.
