------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jan 27 11:33:28 +0000 2008 ------- My system: PC, WinXP Home SP2. Defect with OO 2.3.1 (OOo_2.3.1_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe): * I open MS Explorer, right klick on, say, file1.htm, and choose the menu option "open with OpenOffice.org 2.3" * OO Writer then opens this file as a text file, i.e., the layout is that of a textfile, and I do not have the menu option "View" > "HTML Source". I can do "View" > "Weblayout", but... then OO 2.3.1 crashes. This happens with any HTML file I tried... ove and over. But... no problem at all with OpenOffice.org 2.2.0 (OOo_2.2.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe): * I open MS Explorer, right klick on any HTM file, say, file1.htm, and choose the menu option "open with OpenOffice.org 2.2" * OO Writer/Web then opens this file as a HTML file, i.e., the page has the look of a webfile as ist should. I then have the menu option "View" > "HTML Source". Great! I can change the HTML source ad libitum. This seems to be a problem with OO 2.3.1 on a linux system, too, see my thread "http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2011&p=8759#p8759" After this bad experience I deinstalled 2.3.1 and reinstalled 2.2.0. What could be wrong with OO 2.3.1?
