In calc, the default methods for performing cut / copy / paste operation work on
the cell formatting as well as the contents. For instance, a cell cut/copied
from one location to another preserves it's text size, font, and weight, as well
as borders and background colour. So does text pasted in from Writer and other
applications.

Often one needs to manipulate data without formatting. For instance,
spreadsheets with alternating row colours (odd and even rows with different
background colour) is a common way of preventing confusion on long rows.
However, data cut or copied from an odd row will then have the wrong background
when pasted into an even row. Other problematic scenarios occur when a cell is
used to total other cell's contents, and displayed in bold. Copying this cell's
contents will copy the bold formatting as well.

Therefore, OOo needs a text-only cut / copy / paste option. Currently, the only
way to ensure a text-only paste operation is with one of these non-ontuitive
methods:
1) A 'long click' on the Paste toolbar button.
2) CTRL-SHIFT-V -> Selection -> Paste All (uncheck) -> Formats (uncheck)
3) Creating a macro that does one of the above.
Additionally, there is no way to ensure a text-only cut / copy operation.

Therefore, I propose an option similar to the dialog one gets when pressing
CTRL-SHIFT-V which lets one select the default Paste options. Users who like the
current behaviour can leave the options as they are, and users like me who need
special paste behaviour can enable what they need. As the faculty for the paste
options, and the dialog itself, already exist in OOo code, this feature should
be trivial to implement.

I should note that this is an accessibility issue, as my broken hand prevents me
from making the complex mouse movements needed for long-clicking the Paste
button, and also prevents me from making three-fingered keyboard shortcuts.
