------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Feb 7 06:07:48 +0000 2008 ------- Discovering the poor export resolution was a major disappointment after putting about 50 hours into a drawing. For that I got a 96 dpi tiff file -- same thing in a png file, and a gif file. Obviously I spent some time trying to figure out how to fanagle even a "draft" quality resolution of 300 dpi. This makes the application suitable for exporting web graphics only. It is not suitable for generating exports of bitmap print graphics. Yes, you can print directly or pdf a file with cleaner output, but you can't export to a print quality bitmap format. This is a critical issue for a graphics program -- all the feature bells and whistles are pointless if you don't have a usable output. Draw is basically a screen etch-a-sketch as it stands now since it lacks normal graphics export functions. Sure a lot of file formats are supported. But anywhere off a monitor, the files themselves look like a 1980 dot matrix printout. I guess Draw is useful for making screen presentations (Impress), web page graphics, and screen icons, but it's not the *document* level graphics program it ought to be. You can pretty much do screen resolution graphics in any bit painter, including old MSPaint. Why bother with vectors at 96 dpi? Fix this one issue and you have a fine document graphics suite. Without it, you're painting with your elbows. This ought to be priority one. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
