------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Feb 16 23:46:51 +0000 2008 ------- I inserted the following HTTP hyperlink containing an embedded username/password into an OOo Writer document: http://user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/private/login-test/ When I click on the hyperlink, I expect OOo to log into the Web site with the username and password provided in the URL; instead, OOo prompts me for a username and password. (The same thing happened in OOo Calc, so my best guess was to file the bug under "ui" rather than any specific application.) When I paste the URL into Firefox, Firefox goes directly to the page without prompting for login information. My résumé mentions a Web application I wrote that requires an HTTP login, and I wanted someone reading the résumé to be able to enter the application by clicking a single link without having to enter login information. It would be great if the "Insert -> Hyperlink" dialog had boxes to type in the username and password for "Web" links just like for "FTP" ones, but what I care about now is for an HTTP hyperlink containing a username and password to work seamlessly. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
