------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Feb 21 14:16:48 +0000 2008 ------- Opening file <http://www.cooptel.qc.ca/~rlemieu/Accented_char_problem_2.4.odt> with 'OOo 2.4 rc1' looks like as follows <http://www.cooptel.qc.ca/~rlemieu/Accented_char_problem_2.4.jpg> with the second 'é' being displayed incorectly as an accented upper case E. Pasting the characters shows that both are identical but they display differently. 'OOo 2.2.1' displays the same document correctly as shown in the screen dump, <http://www.cooptel.qc.ca/~rlemieu/Accented_char_no_problem_2.2.1.jpg>. I did a search on the archive but found no other report on this subject although I am not familiar with the search engine. I don't need to use the latest edition of OO. I dowloaded 2.4 because I am new to editing Chinese and had some problems installing SCIM. I thought that 2.4 might help. However I found out that I had just missed the installation of 'gtk bridge' as part of SCIM. Anyhow, I will keep using 2.4 if that can help with debugging. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
