I use Ubuntu 7.10 in Spanish language. Steps: 1) Open Calc 2) write 1 in cell A1 3) select cell A2 4) push f(x) button for select a function. 5) select function ABS and push Next button (in spanish is Siguiente) 6) push the button for select a range in sheet1 7) select cell A1 and accept the selection.
