Hello,
I bumped on this issue using OOo build 2.3.1.2. I did a small text and found
that it does *not* happen for any long text. But for the particular one I had,
it makes the menu unusable, like the screenshot showed.
Then I made some step by step guide in the hope that developers will be able to
reproduce and hopefully fix the problem.
1. Save the attached file ("ooo-problem.odt") a temporary folder on your
computer.
2. Open it with OOo.
3. Press CTRL+A to select all the text on the document
4. Cut the text (CTRL+X)
5. Now if you select the edit menu, you should see it trashed like the
screenshot of the problem ("ooo-problem_screenshot.png").
