------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 24 21:47:57 +0000 2008 ------- When using the taskbar to switch between applications if you have a floating toolbar in OOo then focus doesn't properly go to the OOo window, ie you can't type in the page in writer. It does properly display the OOo window it is just not active and can't be typed into. If you instead use alt-tab to switch then OOo properly gives focus to the main application window. This is reproducible on official OpenOffice 2.4 rc5. It was previously closed as WORKSFORME in bug 63091 2 years ago, but I can still reproduce this same exact problem on Ubuntu hardy (8.04) with official upstream OpenOffice 2.4rc5. I'm not sure if the problem is the focus is transfered to the floating toolbar instead of the main application window, or if the focus is just lost completely. Since the toolbar I tested with didn't seem to respond to keyboard commands in general.
