------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Apr 1 16:19:22 +0000 2008 ------- 1) Open the attached spreadsheet document ("text_to_column_tab.ods") 2) Select cells A1:A2 3) Data > Text to Columns The default delimiter setting (tab) fails to separate the text into columns; the tab characters embedded in the cell text are apparently not recognized. Granted, it's unusual in Calc to have text with embedded tabs, but this should still work. It's fairly strange to have the dialog preview display the tabs and yet fail to act on them.
