------- Additional comments from Sun Apr 6 22:02:10 +0000 2008 ------- You must have at least one sub-expression (i.e., a pattern in parentheses) in the "Search for" pattern in order to use the sub-expressions in the replace field. Try this... Search for: (.*) Format: italic Replace with: $1 This works for me, except it adds an extraneous 'x' character following the matching text in each replacement. That should be reported as a separate issue, I think. This requirement is rather counter intuitive; perhaps there needs to be a default "Search for" pattern of '(.*)' when a format-search is active and the "Search for" field is empty. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
