Then you delete this new empty line and of course the red line will move back on first page, because there is enough space for a 10 pt paragraph (but not for a 12 pt) - because in the beginning you inserted a paragraph break - not a page break. That is automatic text flow and this is normal in Word processing (Writer is a Word Processor NOT an editor). 2.) Why don't you place the cursor in the beginning of the red line? When inserting a paragraph break (or even a page break) there, you will have the desired result...
