------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Apr 9 03:44:24 +0000 2008 ------- I can see why this is so confusing. I would guess that some people save as Word (or another format) and don't realize that they have lost some information. I see the point about keeping non-editable formats separate, but I don't think the term "export" is synonymous with non-editable. I think export means save a copy to some other place far away while I continue to work on this one here. I put the car on the cargo ship, but the factory and the prototype remain with me. I agree we should find some other way to let the user know there is a difference between editable and non-editable formats just not with the term "export". How does the send as menu item work? I use gmail and don't have email set up locally. It looks like it exports an editable file without changing your working format. I propose all editable and non-editable formats be placed in the export dialog. If someone exports in a non-editable format and thinks they are safe, i.e. they incorrectly believe they have saved in an editable format, then the software will still ask them to save before exiting. I say even if you export in an editable format you are still not safe. You should always save in a native format, but that might be another issue. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
