------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Apr 12 02:22:07 +0000 2008 ------- On a number of Adobe Opentype fonts, the variants are improperly identified in an erratic manner. For example, Regular may render as Italic. Bold may render as BoldItalic. This behavior was specifically discovered on Leopard 10.5.2. Some examples: Minion Pro Regular renders as Minion Pro Italic. Minion Pro Bold renders correctly. Minion Pro Display renders correctly. Minion Pro Display Bold renders as Bold Italic. Minion Pro Italic renders as Minion Pro Italic with a further false-italic slant. HelveticaNeueLT Std Regular renders as Italic. HelveticaNeueLT Std Bold renders as Bold Italic. Many other examples were noted. I could not identify any consistency, other than a penchant for Italicizing. Only OpenType fonts seem to be effected. However, not all OpenType fonts are effected. Warnock Pro (also Adobe) renders correctly in every case. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
