I can't change them to any other unit. – typing in "0.3 cm" for example it is changed back to "0.81%". Using other units (inches, millimetres, ...) has no effect. And what is it a % of? – Tools > Options > OO Writer > General > Measurement Units has "cm" as the default unit. Changing this to another unit has no effect in the paragraph style. – Similarly the Spacing is in "lines" and won't change to any other unit, such as cm. This happens with every one of my old documents that I've tried and those of my wife. It also happens with new documents, such as this one. If I go to Format > Styles and Formatting > Default Paragraph > Modify, The Indents and Spacing tab is in "points" and I can't change that! Regards, Ted VANDERNOOT P.S.
