------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Apr 16 09:17:20 +0000 2008 ------- As detailed in the thread "Compiler-support libraries we ship with our products" starting Feb 15, 2008 on Sun-internal sun.star.discuss, the products we ship in some cases include old C/C++ compiler-support libraries intended to keep old extensions running with new office products. StarOffice includes certain old libraries on both Linux and Windows, while (at least Sun-built) OOo itself only on Windows contains old msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll.
