This looks like a bug at first but isn't. The text shapes are part of the
master page. Clicking on one of the master pages in the task pane replaces the
current master page by the one just clicked on. This involves replacing all
shapes of the old master page by shapes of the new one.
In effect the text shape does not lose text. It is replaced by another one that
never had that text.
