Using the top slide (#1), each of the bullets should hyperlink to a slide, and that called slide presents more bullets which also hyperlink to other slides. There is no problem with the forward hyperlinks, the problem is going back up to the 'calling' slide. Clicking on any part of the slide except the hyperlinks should display the previously displayed or 'calling' slide. Impress displays the next slide instead.
