------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Apr 17 16:38:59 +0000 2008 ------- On my laptop (1.6G Pentium M 1G Ram), running Ubuntu 7.04 OO 2.4, the CPU remains at 100 % for a very long time ..... long enough to kill and move on. On my desktop (Athlon Xp 3200 1G Ram) OO2.4 takes up more than 95% of cpu time for almost 2 minutes before the 21 page layout is complete. Scrolling is very sluggish and takes up enormous amounts of CPU time. In Dev300 m7, it takes less than 30 seconds to open the file and the scrolling the smooth. Is this a layout issue ?
