------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 18 19:16:32 +0000 2008 ------- I find this bug always after a new boot with autostart of quickstarter, but sometimes also later and after some files have been edited (writer,calc,base); the longer the computer is running the less this symptom happens steps to reproduce: - start computer, wait till he is finished - right click on quickstarter icon, choose "open ..." - file selector pops up, choose file, select [Open] ... nothing happens (with any text, spreadsheet, database): I waited 20 minutes and more ... very simple workaround: - right click on quickstarter for a second time: now "from template ...", "open document ..." and "exit quickstarter" are greyed out - still, nothing happens - but as soon as I dismiss the quickstarters context menu by clicking anywhere else, the harddisk starts to rumour and the document opens immediately (no disk activity did happen before) I did not notice this behaviour with OOo 2.3.1 or earlier, so it seems to be a regression It might be important to notice that I work as restricted user without administrator rights. >From the fact that I can break the hang anytime by simply giving the >application focus once more and then removing it I feel the cause might be within the order windows messages are processed ... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
