------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Apr 23 10:57:17 +0000 2008 ------- The NSIS wrapper uses as the default name for the folder where to unpack the actual MSI installer a string that contains the full list of OOo UI languages included in the installer. When you have lots of languages (we have 50), this means the folder name gets ridiculously long, and in fact causes problems because folder and file pathnames exceed the Windows limit of around 255 characters. In my test case the name of the default folder turned out as "C:\Documents and Settings\Joku Käyttäjä\Työpöytä\OpenOffice.org 2.4 (en-US af ar be-BY bg bn-IN br ca cs cy da de el en-GB es et fi fr gu-IN he hi-IN hr hu it ja km ko lt lv mk mr-IN nb nl nn pa-IN pl pt-BR pt ru rw sk sl sv ta-IN tr vi xh zh-CN zh-TW zu) Installation Files" . (BTW, shouldn't the part "Installation Files" be localised?) Sure, the user running the installer can change the path in the dialog, but how many would understand to do that? The attached patch replaces the list of languages with a simple hex timestamp (corresponding to the time the NSIS wrapper was created). Yeah, the hex string doesn't say anything to end-users. So what... (Feel free to come up with a better idea, like truncating the list if it gets too long, or something.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
