I just want to make you aware of the fact that sal delivers a file named
bootstrap.mk, which exports the rtl platform identifier as follows:
> cat ../../unxlngi6.pro/inc.m10/rtlbootstrap.mk
RTL_OS:=Linux
RTL_ARCH:=x86
So $(PLATFORMID) might get replaced by $(RTL_OS:l)_$(RTL_ARCH:l) if one imports
rtlbootstrap.mk in the affected makefile.mk(s).
I haven't checked whether this always gives the expected results though ..
