Well, when I now open my modified document, everything works fine: The first page has got the style "Endnote" and the second one "Endnote follow" (even with heading enabled for the first page). If you now disable the heading, Writer also assigns the style "Endnote" to the second page. Now, when you save the file and re-open it, everything is set correctly until you re-enable the heading for the first page. Seems strange.
