------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 22 01:51:59 -0800 2005 ------- export dialog issues and bugs. I want to import a html document and save it in odt format: 1. Open the html by File/Open 2. Save the document by File/Export a/ As a default the StarWriter 3.0 format is offered. However, this, and also other StarWriter format versions are not functional, the "Filter not found" warning appears. b/ Why is the StarWriter set as default? would in not be better to used the odt format? c/ Now I set the format to "Open Office Text" odt format (anyway, wouldn't it be better to use "OpenDocument Text" instead?). After pressing the Export button the "This document may contain formatting..." window appears. According to the text, after pressing "No" the document is stored in the "latest OpenDocument" format. However, odt is this "latest" format, isn't it"? So, this window should not appear at all. The 'No' text, "Click 'No' to use the latest OpenDocument..." is misleading, because nothing is stored after pressin 'No', but rather the same 'Export' dialog appears. c/ So I press 'Yes' and the document is stored. However, if I want to open this nef odt file after OOO restart, I get and error message: "Read-Error Format error discovered in the file in sub-document styles xml at 2.0(row, col)." (Issue 44896) Finaly, nothing is open after pressing OK d/ To store the document in odt. I have to store it first in sxw, then reopen and to store it in odt. Now the odt file open correctly. My recommendation regarding the GUI is to change the "Export" dialog in the following way 1. Make odt the default format 2. change the corresponding text to "OpenDocumet Text (.odt)" 3. Exclude the "-Click" lines and just use two buttons "Save" "Cancel" This will be easier to understand, what is going to happen, then the "yes" and "no" buttons. with greetings, Milos --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
