------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 7 16:57:31 +0000 2008 ------- I frequently use dashes in my writing to separate clauses in a sentence. Conventionally, the appropriate dash is an em-dash. This is pre-programmed into Writer's autocorrect feature so that a double-dash will be automatically converted into an em-dash. However, if the double-dash character follows a single or double quote, parentheses or other punctuation mark, the autocorrect feature does not recognize it and the double-dash is not converted. To reproduce this issue, activate autocorrect and type the following into Writer: Convert--double-dash <-- the double-dash is converted to an em-dash `Convert'--double-dash <-- the double-dash is not converted following the single quote. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
