So, actually a crash is not reproducible, which may be due to the original
submitter's original document being much larger and requiring more resources.
Updating the links just needs its time, after almost 2 minutes the document
finally loaded.
Note: the following findings are based on DEV300_m9 because that is what I had
available compiled with debug. I just assume the same cause in OOo2.4
For each link visible under Edit->Links, the linked document is reloaded again
(60 times in this test case). If you first open 2008-test-a.ods and then
overzicht-fact-a.ods updating the links is fast, that is identical in OOo2.4,
which is why I assume the same cause.
I currently have no clue why this is the case respectively what change may have
caused it. I suspect a SfxObjectShell or DDE connection prematurely released,
may of course be totally wrong on this. I also don't have time to further
investigate because I'll have to finish other things before my vacation leave on
Friday. We'll have to find someone else who'll dive into this. Cc'ed several
people who might have to get involved.. sorry for spamming.
