Wow.  I had totally forgotten about this issue.  I still think it's a cool idea,
though, and one that would give OO.o a step up.  Consider the niceness of data
entry, for instance, where you might know one value here, another value there. 
Put in what you know, and (if Calc has enough info) Calc enters in the rest. 
Peace of mind and wowness.

The original itch that originated this issue is when I was using Calc as a time
tracker.  Sometimes I knew the duration worked and when I ended.  Sometimes I
knew the duration worked and when I started.  Sometimes I knew the start and
stop times.  I was a scattered worker.  I wanted to just input the two values
into their columns and have Calc do the third.  Simple idea.  Probably difficult
to do.  And it seems to be something that would be very multipurpose and missed
once gotten used to.  It's just that no one uses spreadsheets quite like that
currently.  Because they can't.

BTW, I did download Office 3.0 Beta.  Though the multiple cells/formulas feature
approaches this idea, it's far too cells-oriented, and doesn't allow the nifty
data-entriness I've described above.
