------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri May 16 11:44:25 +0000 2008 ------- This issue hasn't been addressed in either oocalc 2.4.0 or 3.0.0 Beta. While the "Format Paintbrush" can accomplish this task, there are a lot of times you just want to copy a cell's color and not its entire format. Here are the steps I currently need to follow if I want to copy the same color from one cell to another: 1. Move to the cell with the color I want. 2. Format -> Cells -> Background (tab) 3. Remember color 4. Click OK 5. Move to the cell I want to copy the color to. 6. Background color -> select color 7. If more cells to color, go to step 5. Here's what we want: 1. Move to cell with the color I want. 2. Background color -> "select current color as default" (or select a new color for this cell which also sets the default color) 3. Move to cell I want to copy the color to. 4. Click "Default Background color" button. 5. If more cells to color, go to step 3. Excluding the last steps in each part, the difference above is actually 9 steps versus 5 steps, since some steps have multiple steps. Since a mouse must be used for all these steps, it feels especially clumsy. Complementing the "what we want" steps 2 & 4 with keyboard shortcuts would be the best solution. (As far as I can tell, assigning "Background Color" to Ctrl+3 and then pressing Ctrl+3 doesn't do anything.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
