Using Debian Lenny & Ubuntu 8.04, both running 2.4.0, I've observed that using
the "cut" command in calc followed immediately by pressing an arrow key causes
the focused cell to "jump". I'm 90% certain that this is because calc things
that the focused cell is the last cell that had a cut operation applied to PRIOR
to the one just executed, and so moves the focus relative to a previously
focused cell.

To reproduce:
1. Open a new or existing spreadsheet.
2. Focus any cell (blank or not).
3. Cut the contents of the cell (using ctrl+x or menu command).
4. Press an arrow key (usually any key works).
5. The FIRST time you perform this, you'll probably end up in a random cell on
the far right and/or bottom of the spreadsheet.
6. Focus a second cell, at least a few cells removed from the first one you cut
the contents of (it does not appear to matter if you paste/undo inbetween these
two operations).
7. Cut the newly focused cell.
8. Press any arrow key once. The newly focused is one cell removed from the
FIRST cell cut, not the one that just had the operation applied to (i.e., you
are now several cells away from the highlighted cell).

This does not appear to be a problem with copy, and appears to be independent of
pasting.
