From the drawing toolbar select Basic shapes and create a Rectangle, Rounded in your document. 3. Right-Click on the Rounded Rectangle and choose "Area..." 4. Select the Shadow tab and select the "Use Shadows" check box. 5. The shadows do not appear, however will appear for a standard rectangle. Repeat the same process in a drawing document and the shadows work as expected.
