------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat May 17 10:56:49 +0000 2008 ------- re-tested with WinXP SP3, MS PP Viewer 12.0.4518 and OO 2.4.0. Here is what I did: I uninstalled PP Viewer and OO. Then I installed PP Viewer and I installed OO. During OO installation, I unchecked all associations with MS products (Word, Excel and PP). Results: .pps files are correctly associated to PP Viewer, which is what I expected. But I don't have any option to edit those files with OO. What I hoped for is an option in the contextual menu offering me to edit the file with OO. So I would still have the "Open" -> PP Viewer association, but I would have a new "Edit" -> OO association. An example of the desired behavior is the .bat extension: double-clicking on a .bat file executes the file, while the contextual menu offers an Edit option which opens the .bat file in a text editor. BTW, I'd like the same Edit option for Word and Excel files too, of course! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
