I wonder what's the point of making the effort and filing reports (not everyone cares about doing that) - if things aren't being fixed for years... It's not the first issue I've come across, that's been marked as 'duplicate' or even 'new' - while the first occurence of the issue was 3, 4 or even 5 years ago! And I'm talking about really basic functionalities here, needed for everyday's work. It's kind of frustrating to see, that the time being spent for filing reports is very likely to be pretty much wasted, where I have some work to attend to.
