Attached figure shows English (using Century) and Japanese (using MS Mincho) mixed document. In OOo 3.0 beta for Windows (left figure), Japanese text seems to be placed relatively downward compared with English text. In contrast, MS Word for Mac (right figure), Word Viewer on Windows, and OOo 3.0 Mac (aquavcl08+hb09) looks same text placements.
