------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jun 4 20:18:59 +0000 2008 ------- In particular, it would be useful to be able to specify this behaviour when opening a read-only document. This is a huge hindrance to using OOo to access "legacy" .doc files, where the date field _must_ refer to the date displayed when the document was originated. This behaviour cannot be an option associated with the (readonly) file - it would have to be specified before the file is opened. The ideal would be to have a configuration choice of Yes/No/Ask. It appears that my current MS Word setup also auto-updates the date field, so the Word behaviour described by OR is not universal (maybe there is a configuration item which I have not found). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
