I think the extension run into trouble, if the graphic includes transparency. You could get the source document here: http://de.openoffice.org/source/browse/de/documentation/howtos2_0/office/exportpdfformat.odt?rev=1.5&view=log I tested with DEV300m16 on openSuSE 10.3 and pdfimport-linux.oxt, vers. 0.3 from 11. June 2008.
