2008 -------
Pavel,

my changes certainly did work with the official Windows compiler on DEV300 on
(.Net 2008) and thats the current working status quo. They didn't work with a
deprecated compiler (.Net 2003). Now I'm a reasonable man and it's certainly
possible to get this working for both cases as a compromise so I made a few
suggestions. Simply feeding RĂ¼diger a number of patches which reverts the code
to it's broken state and kill the Solaris 64 bit builds is not a compromise.

Since I guess these kinds of problems will happen more often in future and I
certainly don't want to play P1 issue ping pong on these I suggest that we'll
officially kill .Net2003 because it's simply to painful to further support it.

Well, it would be a lot less painful to support this deprecated compiler in
future if correct changes made for the benefit of a modern compiler wouldn't be
just reverted but, but, working together, we could find a solution that work
with both.
