------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jul 12 16:34:59 +0000 2008 ------- OOo DEV300m24 (Pavel's build) on GNU/Linux (Ubuntu 8.04) When using paragraph styles with associated numbering style in nested (mixed) numbering/bullet lists, upon reloading the file the numbering of items after the list is incorrectly reset to 1. To reproduce the problem (unfortunately it takes a while, if desired I can provide an attachment). Associate Numbering 1 List style to Numbering 1 Start, Numbering 1 Cont and Numbering 1 End paragraph styles. Associate List 1 List style to List 1 Start, List 1 Cont and List 1 End paragraph styles. Open a new document and create the following paragraphs allocating the style indicated in brackets: text (Numbering 1 Start) text (Numbering 1 Cont) text (List 1 Start) text (List 1 Cont) text (List 1 End) text (Numbering 1 Cont) text (Numbering 1 End) Demote the List 1 paragraphs by one level so that it will look like this: 1. text (Numbering 1 Start) 2. text (Numbering 1 Cont) * text (List 1 Start) * text (List 1 Cont) * text (List 1 End) 3. text (Numbering 1 Cont) 4. text (Numbering 1 End) Now save the file and reload it from disk. The list changes to the following: 1. text (Numbering 1 Start) 2. text (Numbering 1 Cont) * text (List 1 Start) * text (List 1 Cont) * text (List 1 End) 1. text (Numbering 1 Cont) <---- !!!! numbering reset to one !!!! 2. text (Numbering 1 End) NOTE 1: this is a serious bug for people working on the OOoAuthors documentation as, from version 3 onwards we use paragraph styles to manage lists. NOTE 2: OOo2.4.1 does not exhibit this behaviour (it has a different issue which I may file if I find the time). NOTE 3: if you first create the numbered list 1 to 4 and then paste inside the bullet list the file is saved and reopened correctly.
