------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jul 17 07:54:36 +0000 2008 ------- Prologue: There are many reasons why a spreadsheet can be better than a text document for certain kinds of text documents. My current example is dealing with software QA and localisation where I need a structured table of items that are not restricte by page size, and can optionally contain mathematical functions. Description: 1. Set a cell format as Text 2. Enter content with a leading en dash '-'. 3. Select a section of the text and make it bold and a different color from the other text in the cell. 4. Change focus to a different cell. 5. The Bold and Color disappear from the text. 6. Remove the leading en dash and the formatting will stay. 7. Add a leading apostrophe ' and the formatting will stay. (Note: a leading apostrophe is not an acceptable solution as I need to display the exact text for localisation and if I have a leading apostrophe, likely the final content will end-up with a leading apostrophe that shouldn't be there.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
