------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jul 31 17:37:49 +0000 2008 ------- Asus EEE 900 running Asus variant of Xandros linux. Note: Issue does NOT occur on Asus EEE 701. OOo 2.4.0 works perfectly. OOo 2.4.1 does not. to reproduce: open Writer Open a (for example, Word .doc) document with more than one page Scroll downwards Approximately on reaching the page break (not 100% consistent), OOo crashes. OOo starts recovery process on reload, crash reoccurs as before on scrolling down. Have tried (more than once each...): 1. Auto Update (running writer via sudo to get install privileges) - captured error log includes: (using .../openoffice.org-core02_2.4.1-17_i386.deb) ... Unpacking replacement openoffice.org-core02 ... update-menus: /etc/openoffice.org2.4/program/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.1' not found (required by update-menus) 2. Install (download and sudo dpkg -i) 3. Uninstall 2.4.0 and install 2.4.1 (sudo dpkg -i) All with and without removing the user's profile Same result, with one exception - last mechanism (3 above) resulted in OOo crashing immediately (start writer and it immediately crashes; next start goes to recovery of the 'blank' document - can't escape that cycle without 'hard' kill). In all cases, removing 2.4.1 (sudo apt-get remove openoffice*) and then installing 2.4.0 returns a perfectly working system. As per above, this issue did NOT occur on the model 701 Asus, which runs, as far as I'm aware, the same codebase. If I can supply any more info, or test install, I'd be happy to do so. Further info: Asus OS has been reconfigured to remove unionfs, which I presume is not relevant, but just in case... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
