Then you can see the date. Correct. But the reason that more column width is require is because OO 3beta doesn't respect Excel 5's m/d/yy column Date format. Fact. OO 3beta can reformat the cells in Column A to m/d/yy (try it!). And then the Dates in Column A display properly in the given column width, the same as in Excel 5. > so this issue is invalid Changing the column width to display the Excel Date is a kludge. OO 3 beta can display Excel 5 Dates in formats and column widths set by Excel 5. See 'Fact' above.
