I had problems to cut&paste more than 12 pages with OOo-1.1.3. It is strange but
it helped to increase the default graphics chache size in Tools/Options/Memory

Hmm, I am not able to reproduce the bug on my current system now even with
OOo-1.1.3.

I think that the default limits can be increased anyway. They are actually:
Use for OpenOffice.org: 9MB
Memory per Object: 2,4MB

I don't know much about the implemenatation. From my point of view:
    - OOo needs more than 100MB of RAM, so 20MB for a cache is acceptable.
    - Many graphics objects would need more than 2.4MB of RAM per object,
especially the widely used photos made by digital cameras.

I'll attach a patch that doubles the default graphics cache size.
