------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Aug 19 18:54:02 +0000 2008 ------- Two items: 1. I am currently running 2.4.1 and seeing this problem. I will uninstall and attempt to reinstall to see if it reoccurs. 2. Further to the comment "shlxthdl.dll is not found where it is registered. Therefor Explorer try to find it in PATH." There is an "shlxthdl.dll" file in the "C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.4\program\" directory. I've verified that the registry references the shlxthdl.dll at that location and nowhere else. I've viewed the file with an editor and it looks valid (i.e. it has the appropriate copyright and version strings imbedded in it). Doing further checking with filemon, I found that every time a directory is opened, explorer starts by doing the following (Note that for confidentiality purposes I have put UserName in place of the real user name): 9:48:18 AM explorer.exe:3064 OPEN D:\Documents and Settings\UserName\"C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 2.4\program\shlxthdl.dll" NAME INVALID Options: Open Access: All Note that "D:\Documents and Settings\UserName\" is NOT in the PATH. Could the problem stem from the fact that the %userprofile% is not on the C drive (just a thought)? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
