------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 27 16:49:59 +0000 2008 ------- When printing, "empty" text placeholders come out blank or are printed according to settings in Tools/Options/Openoffice.org Writer/Print. When I create a PDF, either by File > Send to > Send as PDF or by exporting empty placeholders are *always* printed with the predefined placeholder text, independent of the settings above. I create templates with several placeholders, and often not all placeholders are filled out. I see no reason why these empty placeholders should be included in the PDF, they simply appear with their "dummy text" in a different colour. This ruins the option to email the document as a PDF unless the user clicks on every single placeholder and remove them. The File > Send to > Send as PDF is a huge selling point for OpenOffice.org, and I feel that PDF export should act according to the print settings above, or at least not include empty placeholders. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
