2008 -------
I tested this with a newly created native/HSQLDB-database and with a 
preexisting MySQL-Database. I 
am on Leopard 10.54, IntelMac.

Do this:

- open a database -> all wizards are dimmed out. You can see tables but you can 
only open them and 
manipulate data. You cannot create anything (table, query, form, etc...). All 
relevant options are gone 
from context-menu when right-clicking a table or query.

Also try this:

- create a new database. During the creation process all functionality is 
available.
- save the database
- reopen it. Find the situation described above.
