------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Sep 7 12:49:57 +0000 2008 ------- 1) I installed 3.0 beta 2 9/7/08 (new download from 9/6/08) for Windows following automated choices for routine installation. 2) Opened Writer using the home screen, seleted new document. 3) pasted content from a website to start a new document (confirmed selected language after issue appeared = English -US). 4) received the same error as Issue 92255, all words flagged as misspelled. 5) Changing to UK dictionary from US did not alleviate the problem. 6) came to see if the issue was documented and found commuinty forum entry and this issue. NOTES: beta 2 installation replaced beta 1 on my system. Prior installations installed and funcitonal on this system include: 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 (most recent upgrade to 2.4 included). 3.0 beta 1 tested without such severe impairment This is an application killer. Enthusiasts will download files to fix this, but average users will not, thus this must be fixed. I will revert to 2.4 until an easier fix is implemented. I can't help on the replecation of the problem as it occurs immediately upon import of an existing document or when data is pasted or typed. If I send the files used to someone who does not have this problem, i presume the problem will not occur, but this is critical for Oo 3.0.
