Good question, but what should make me think that someone HAS noticed the issue? When issue is noticed, usually (in normally working QA) something happens with it - Target milestone is reevaluated, for example. Or a comment "Reproducible in dev build/I cannot reproduce the issue..." is added. At least, I was expecting the status will be changed to NEW - I have sent you a screenshot of the issue so you should already know you have the problem there. > Playing around with the prio just to get attention is not a valid way of issue handling. Well, at first - I'm sorry for that. This is my first (I hope not last...) issue on openoffice. So I don't know how flexible the priority assignment can be. Other similar projects allow (to some extent) this kind of issue handling without being little rude to your potential customer. An explanation I would give while replying would be: "Sorry, I believe this issue does not qualify as P2 - I am lowering priority for now. We will change the issue status to NEW when we can confirm the issue. Do not worry, we have already noticed this report. Thank you." Only once I answered (also in bugzilla) in the same manner you did above and I had to talk to my supervisor about it... > A repaint problem is surely not a p2 issue. Possibly, I understand there is no data loss, no crashes... But I still think it is quite serious when it happens with a welcome page, which is the first thing you user can see... Now to the issue: It has already happened on 3 independent computers, 2 with Gnome (Ubuntu 8.04) and one with Xfce (Xubuntu 8.04). Symptoms are the same - welcome page does not repaint when I press Maximize button. It does repaint when I manually resize it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
